The Richard W. Riley College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences at Winthrop and the Rex Institute offers an annual award—the Jessie Little “Leading the Way” Award—to recognize the exceptional teachers who not are not only successful in their own classrooms, but also invest their time and talents to help others be successful teachers. This includes teachers who mentor beginning teachers (or even veteran teachers), who work with pre-service teachers in their field and clinical placements, or who are Teacher Cadet Instructors.
The Rex Institute seeks nominations from across South Carolina. The teacher who receives the Leading the Way award receives up to $2,500; and, fortunately, the funding to date has allowed the Rex Institute to also recognize the runners-up with a monetary award.
Hurry! Nominations are due February 9th at HTTPS://TINYURL.COM/2s44ryxs.
