BioEducation: Jenna was born and raised in in Coventry, Connecticut and is now a resident of Anderson, SC. Dr. Hallman has a BA in Early Childhood Education from USC-Upstate and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Supervision from Clemson. She also holds a Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University.
Experience: Jenna has been in education for 22 years and is a National Board Certified Teacher who successfully renewed her Early Childhood Generalist certification in 2011. Jenna taught second grade at Calhoun Academy of the Arts in Anderson School District Five for most of her classroom career. She finished her time at Calhoun as the school science specialist. While in Anderson District Five, Jenna worked on curriculum writing teams, provided professional development focused on science and math instruction, directed the Camp Invention program for the district, and served as the a cooperating teacher for student teachers from local universities. CERRA: Jenna came to CERRA after being recognized as the 2008-2009 SC Teacher of the Year. Jenna currently serves as the Assistant Director/Program Director for CERRA's Collegiate through Service Programs (Teaching Fellows, Induction and Mentoring, National Board Certification, and Teacher Leadership). |
