Dr. Jennifer Garrett, PhD
Bio
Education: Jennifer holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science and a Master’s in Public Administration, both from North Carolina State University. She went on to earn a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2006. While obtaining her graduate degrees, Jennifer served in various research capacities at these two institutions. Experience: After graduation, she took a job with the Commonwealth of Virginia as a legislative analyst where she completed multiple research projects for the Virginia General Assembly. Jennifer came to Winthrop University in 2007 where she served as a data analyst for the Department of Enrollment Management. In this role, she collaborated with various departments on campus to collect, analyze, and report data that were used to improve recruitment and enrollment efforts. CERRA: In 2008, Jennifer took a position with the Center for Educator Recruitment, Retention, and Advancement where she serves as the Coordinator of Research and Program Evaluation. She supports all of CERRA's programs and services by constantly monitoring their relevance and effectiveness through ongoing data collection and analysis. |
