Campus Director Dr. Lee Vartanian reports that after Connley Skeen’s brief intro to the Seven Habits last December, we realized that we didn’t have a mission statement. We didn’t “know who we were” or “where we were going.” So we formed a committee! The Growth & Vision Committee was formed and tasked with 1) developing a mission/vision for our program and answering the question 2) “how do we want to grow?“ By the end of the spring semester, we came up with a mission statement: “Lander Teaching Fellows are Open, Informed, Invested, and Influential”. We call it “Open I’s”. We are implementing it this year and are using it as a foundation to determine where we want to go.
