Next Steps for South Carolina Mentors
✓ Turn in evaluation (in-person training only)
✓ Save the copy of your certificate. You WILL need it.
✓ Complete the SCTS 4.0 Evaluator Training within the first 5 year cycle of mentoring if you have not already done so.
✓ Complete 18 hours of ongoing professional development related to mentoring over each 5 year cycle. The Evaluator Training takes care of this for the first cycle.
✓ Only share the contact log with your school or district.
✓ Professional development opportunities: PD provided by your district; advanced mentor trainings including SC Mentor Trainer Certification; Evaluator training; opportunities found in SCLead Professional Learning Library; other opportunities approved by your district.
