Teacher Cadet National Honor Society
The purpose of the Teacher Cadet National Honor Society shall be to honor scholarship, develop character, promote leadership, and stimulate a desire to serve.
Eligibility
In order to be considered for membership in the Teacher Cadet National Honor Society, a student must be a junior or senior with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 (unweighted) on the state grading scale. A teacher leadership committee will select from all qualifying applicants those who excel in scholarship, character, leadership, and service.

The window for TCNHS will open November 1st.
We are excited that you are considering applying for membership into the Teacher Cadet National Honor Society. The application will allow you to complete each component online and in one place. The application also allows users to start the application and come back to complete it as needed. Before you begin, please ensure you meet the eligibility criteria and review the membership guidelines at the link provided on this page. The link to apply is posted below.
In order for your application to be considered complete, you must answer all questions on the online application, and a high school transcript and two references must be submitted before 11:59 PM on February 1. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed or scored.
Notes:
1) Acceptance into the Teacher Cadet National Honor Society is a privilege. Notice the definitions for each aspect of achievement that would deem you worthy of membership.
2) DO NOT send TCNHS dues at this time. Those accepted into the TCNHS will be notified when to submit their dues of $25.00.
3) Candidates are formally inducted into the Teacher Cadet National Honor Society. All students accepted for membership into the TCNHS should plan to attend the virtual induction ceremony on March 15, 2025. There will only be one statewide induction ceremony. Details regarding the virtual ceremony will be included in the acceptance letter for those selected for membership.

TCNHS Scholarship
One TCNHS Scholarship will be awarded annually. Those eligible for the lottery-styled drawing include the following: a senior member of the TCNHS who is in good standing, has maintained a 3.5 GPA, and has paid his/her $25.00 TCNHS dues.

IV. Service: The student who serves:
- Serves through his or her school and community
- Is willing to uphold scholarship and maintain a loyal attitude
- Participates in some outside activity: Girl Scouts; Boy Scouts; church groups, volunteer services for the aged, poor, or disadvantaged, and/or family duties
- Is a well-organized and dependable volunteer, is gladly available, and is willing to offer assistance
- Works well with others and is willing to take on challenging responsibilities
- Enthusiastically serves the school when presented with opportunities
- Willingness to act as a representative for your school
- Does committee and staff work willingly
- Shows courtesy by assisting visitors, teachers, and students
