South Carolina's Certification & Employment Application
The Center for Educator Recruitment, Retention & Advancement (CERRA), in partnership with the South Carolina Association of School Administrators - Personnel Division, Certification Office at the Division of Educator Quality and Leadership and Winthrop University is pleased to offer an online statewide teaching job application. The web-based application is available to anyone interested in teaching in South Carolina.

On March 17, 2008 The Online Application and the Certification Application merged into one online application, thus allowing teaching candidates to apply for certification and a job in one application. The link to the Employment/Certification Application is http://www.winthrop.edu/scteach/.

The beauty of completing the statewide application form is that all of the 85 South Carolina school districts have agreed to accept it in lieu of their individual district application. Thus, an applicant only has to complete one application, one time.
CERRA also maintains a Job Vacancy Database for the state which certified teachers can view at www.cerra.org. The Job Vacancy Database is updated online daily as the districts submit openings.
CERRA is a state agency supported by Education Improvement Act funds. There is no charge to public schools for the listing service.
