Job Bank

Job Bank

The Center for Educator Recruitment, Retention, & Advancement (CERRA) operates a Teacher Job Bank that:

  • Allows schools and school districts to locate job candidates
  • Advertises openings to teachers looking for positions

On-Line Statewide Application
All school districts in South Carolina (with the exception of Charleston County) have agreed to accept an online statewide application for teaching positions. You may complete the application online (www.winthrop.edu/scteach). One designated district employee has been issued a username and password to access the applications.

Vacancy List
A job vacancy list is posted on this Web site. The vacancy list is updated as school districts submit their openings to CERRA. Many of the districts also list their vacancies on their individual Web sites. Links to the school districts that have Web sites are included on the vacancy list. The job vacancy list may be viewed under Prospective Teachers at www.CERRA.org or mailed upon request.

Length of Service
If your statewide application is inactive for one year, you will receive an email stating that it has been disabled and stored in a central depositor at CERRA. If you have kept your application current, it will remain active indefinitely. If you are offered a teaching position, you should disable your application. Please contact Phyllis Archie if you have questions concerning your online application.
